Every long turn I'd sit there watching the spinner, so I turned the wait into practice. turntype shows a line above the prompt when a turn runs longer than 3 seconds: "press 1: type while you wait". Press 1 to open a small typing test; in flow mode it lasts exactly as long as Claude does, and when Claude finishes you finish your word and get your wpm. Every long turn I'd sit there watching the spinner. So I turned the wait into practice. turntype is a Claude Code mod. When a turn runs longer than 3 seconds, a line shows above the prompt: "press 1: type while you wait". Press 1, a small typing test opens, and in flow mode it lasts exactly as long as Claude does. Claude finishes, you finish your word, you get your wpm.
