Bugdex is a Claude Code mod that turns failed tests, lint, builds, or merges into monster battles: the error type determines the bug species, the failure count is its HP, the free context window is your HP, and a green test knocks the bug down and grants XP. You can capture a bug only by adding or fixing a test during the battle; bypassing or fixing the issue without touching tests counts only as a Flakeling. Editing the same file three times without progress causes Confused. It includes 20 original pixel-art creatures, using half-block characters in the terminal and SVG in the desktop app; your creature evolves from Patchling. It makes no network requests and calls no model, costs zero tokens, and only reads tool output to determine test execution and edits. Installation requires Claude Code 2.1.286+ with mods support.
