About this mod
squishys is a Claude Code mod that starts a tiny pixel-art squishy for every agent the orchestrator spawns, letting you watch, stop, redirect, share and switch models per agent from a TUI pane. /squishys toggles the pane and /squishydex opens the Squishydex; the pane takes the keyboard via Ctrl+X Tab and releases it with Esc. Fullscreen rendering (/tui fullscreen or CLAUDE_CODE_NO_FLICKER=1) is needed for clicking. Hotkeys cover roster selection, redirect, stop, share, model switching, settings (model, slots, live switch, chime) and Squishydex navigation. Share only writes a PNG locally and opens X's compose page with draft text; it runs local commands such as sh, uname, base64, mktemp, find and osascript/open or xdg-open. Early development status, MIT licensed, with docs on the domain glossary, architecture decisions and research notes on building Claude Code mods.

squishys
A Claude Code mod that gives every agent your orchestrator starts its own tiny pixel-art squishy, so you can watch, stop and redirect your agents through them.
Status: early development. To try it from a clone, see Developing the mod.
Using it
/squishys opens or closes the pane, and /squishydex opens the Squishydex. Opened that way, the pane takes the keyboard, so its hotkeys (1, o, d and so on) work at once. Esc hands the keyboard back to the prompt, and Ctrl+X Tab gives it to the pane again.
Clicking a squishy needs Claude Code's fullscreen rendering (/tui fullscreen, or CLAUDE_CODE_NO_FLICKER=1). In the classic rendering, clicks don't reach the pane: use Ctrl+X Tab and the hotkeys.
Keys
Everything in the pane has a hotkey, shown before its label (i: Redirect). Hotkeys work while the pane has the keyboard. Ctrl+X Tab is two presses, Ctrl+X and then Tab.
| Where | Keys |
| --- | --- |
| Roster | 1–9 pick a squishy (letters after that), m the +N list, o settings, d Squishydex |
| An agent’s view | i type in the Redirect box (Enter sends, Esc leaves), s stop (press twice), x share, m switch model (experimental), 1 or r back to the roster |
| Settings | m model for new agents, s roster slots, l live model switch (experimental), c chime, r back |
| Squishydex | 1–9 open a squishy's card, n/p next and previous page, r roster; on a card m make partner, c palette, x share, b back |
Hotkeys for a few choices (model, slots, palette) step to the next choice on each press. The label shows the current choice and the next one.

Security
- Share posts nothing by itself. It saves a picture of the squishy (a PNG in a private folder of your own:
squishys-sharein your temp folder on macOS,~/.cache/squishys/shareon Linux; pictures older than a day are cleared), copies it to the clipboard on macOS, and opens X's compose page in your browser with the text filled in. You review the text, attach the picture and post it yourself; squishys never sees your X account. - The text for a finished agent includes the start of the agent's description, which can hold private project details. It's cut short, but read it in the compose box before you post.
- To do this, Share runs a few local commands:
sh,uname,base64,mktempandfindto save the picture, thenosascriptandopenon macOS, orxdg-openon Linux.
