About this mod
The author built their first mod, "Plushie," using Claude Code. It's a plush 3D orange mascot that lives in the terminal and reacts to Claude's actions: it completely collapses (with sweat drops) when tool calls fail, a tiny Plushie wobbles away each time a subagent spawns, it gets fatter as context fills up, sighs when /compact runs, holds a magnifying glass when reading files, hugs a keyboard when running bash, and can be petted and picked up. For production, Claude Code wrote a Blender script to generate the model (body, fur particles, bead eyes, props) and rendered about 700 frames of animation headlessly, checking contact sheets and fixing issues itself; the mod itself was written in TypeScript against the new mods API, plus 26 claude plugin tests; sound effects were synthesized with a Python script using sine waves and noise, no samples. Free, MIT. Requires Claude Code 2.1.287+ with mods enabled (still rolling out), and a terminal that supports drawing (Ghostty or kitty). Unofficial fan project.
