# My phone couldn't make me drink water. So I put a sarcastic water glass in Claude Code.

A Claude Code mod called sipp that adds a hydratation progress bar and sarcastic reminders above the prompt, with no AI calls.

## Description

A Reddit showcase of sipp, a Claude Code mod that shows a water-tracking progress bar and increasingly rude reminders on the line above the prompt. Daily goal, glass size and reminder hours are configurable in /config, and it uses zero tokens since there are no AI calls. Install via /plugin install sipp --marketplace ArgonQQ/sipp; repo at https://github.com/ArgonQQ/sipp.

## Install

```
claude plugin marketplace add ArgonQQ/sipp
claude plugin install sipp@sipp
```

## Original README

I was too busy shipping to drink water, so I made my terminal judge me about it Last night, almost 2 a.m. One last thing to finish. You know the one. "Just this, then bed." At 10 p.m. my phone buzzed: "Time to hydrate! 💧" I flipped it over. At 11 my smartwatch tapped my wrist. Ignored. At midnight my body sent its own reminder: a headache. I blamed the screen brightness. By 2 a.m. it was done. My lips felt like old sandpaper and I'd had zero water in 6 hours. But hey, it shipped. Then it hit me why. Nothing could reach me because none of it was in my UI of Interest . When I'm deep in work, that's one window and nothing else. My phone might as well be in another room. Sticky notes are wall decoration. The only thing I actually look at, at 1 a.m., is the line right above where I type. So I put the water there. Honestly, I haven't seen a good use case for Claude Code mods lately. This one is. For me, at least. Like it or not. sipp is a mod for Claude Code. It adds one line above your prompt: 💧 ███░░░░░░░ 750/2000 ml · DRINK NOW [ +250 ml ] [ Snooze 15m ] Still nothing? Bold strategy for a sack of mostly water. It spreads your daily goal over your day. Fall behind and the reminders come closer together. Actions, consequences. Ignore it and it gets ruder every 15 minutes, all the way up to "At this point I'm just narrating your decline." Log a glass with one click and it congratulates you as a disappointed parent would: "Wow. A glass of water. Someone alert the press." It uses zero tokens : no AI calls, just a judgmental glass of water living in your terminal. Goal, glass size and reminder hours are all set in /config . Defaults follow EFSA guidance (≈2 l a day from drinks), because I'm sarcastic, not irresponsible. Install it in Claude Code: /plugin install sipp --marketplace ArgonQQ/sipp Repo: https://github.com/ArgonQQ/sipp A few days in, I actually drink water during the day now. Not heroic amounts. But more than zero, which was honestly the bar. Free mod ideas, steal them: bladder-overflow : the natural sequel. "You logged 1.5 l. The toilet misses you." snackoverflow : "You have been running on air and spite for 6 hours. Eat something." pizza-in-the-loop : a food delivery menu pops up right above your prompt when it gets late. One click, dinner ordered, back to shipping. tokens4eyeballs : watch a 30-second ad in your terminal, get some tokens back. Finally, my attention span pays for something. Drink some water. Then ship it. submitted by /u/ArgonQQ [link] [comments]
