# Introduce claude code mod for transition cli to desktop looks

A Reddit post introducing cc-desktop-mod, a Claude Code mod that aims to bring Claude Desktop-like features and aesthetics into the terminal CLI, with a GitHub repository link but no verified manifest or complete scan.

## Description

The author shares a personal project, cc-desktop-mod, that enhances the Claude Code CLI with a more pleasant, desktop-like interface in the terminal. The motivation is to avoid Electron-based Claude Desktop while still getting a nicer look and reducing the need to switch to a browser for changes or Git-related tasks. The post links to a GitHub repository but does not include installation instructions or verified plugin manifest details.

## Install

```
claude plugin marketplace add KyongSik-Yoon/cc-desktop-mod
claude plugin install desk-look@cc-desktop-mod
```

## Original README

https://github.com/KyongSik-Yoon/cc-desktop-mod Yes. Claude Desktop is certainly a great application, but...I do not particularly prefer Electron apps (especially in terms of resource inefficiency), so I have consistently used the Claude Code CLI in the terminal. The only downsides to using it were that it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing and the hassle of switching to a browser for changes or Git-related tasks. For that reason, I decided to make the most of the recently released Claude mod to bring as many features of the Claude desktop as possible into the terminal! I am continuing to use it and make improvements, and I am satisfied that the environment is much better than before.I am sharing my small project in the hope that others can also enjoy these benefits. submitted by /u/dayebbb to r/ClaudeCode [link] [comments]
