# Clawd gets a book when he's reading and confetti when he's done

A fan-made Claude Code mod that shows a pixel crab mascot above the prompt for each running subagent, with poses matching what the agent is doing (reading files, searching, editing, running commands) and celebratory or failure animations.

## Description

The mod gives every running subagent its own little Clawd crab above the prompt. The crab reads a book while the agent reads files, searches with a magnifying glass, writes on paper while it edits, and jogs while a command runs. Confetti appears when the subagent finishes, and a small rain cloud shows up on failure. It is free and open source under MIT, and the creator notes Claude Code generated the pixel animations and the code that maps subagent work to poses. Clawd is Anthropic's mascot; this is an unofficial fan project.

## Original README

I wanted more of Clawd, Claude Code's crab mascot, so I made a mod that gives every running subagent its own little crab above the prompt. He reads a book while it reads files, searches with a magnifying glass, writes on paper while it edits, and jogs while a command runs. Confetti when he's done, a little rain cloud if something fails. How Claude helped: Claude Code wrote all of it, the pixel animations and the code that turns each subagent's work into the matching pose. I just kept giving notes (“the magnifying glass is too small,” “less of a sprint”).
