# ccstatusline desktop: your status line in the Claude Code Desktop and JetBrains AI assistant

A Claude Code mod that recreates the ccstatusline status line inside the Claude Code Desktop app band above the prompt and above the JetBrains AI Assistant chat input, reading the same config file as the terminal version. Requires the official Claude agent or a custom ACP; does not work with Junie or Codex. Installs to all JetBrains IDEs with one command.

## Description

Reddit post by whisperers26 announcing ccstatusline desktop, a fork of ccstatusline that brings the customized status line into environments that do not run the statusLine command. It displays the ccstatusline layout in the band above the prompt in the Claude Code Desktop app, refreshed after every turn, and shows the same lines above the AI chat input in all JetBrains IDEs including Google Android Studio. The plugin installs into every JetBrains IDE on the machine with one command and reads the same settings file as the terminal version, so no duplicate configuration is needed. Hi everyone. If you use ccstatusline in the terminal, you may be annoyed that the status line is not available in the Claude Code desktop app or in the JetBrains AI Assistant, because neither runs the statusLine command. As a game developer, I use JetBrains IDE a lot, and I want my customized status line visible and synced in all my working environments. So I made a fork that brings the line back: ccstatusline desktop . Hope it helps anyone who shares a similar workflow to mine. Claude Code Desktop app: your ccstatusline layout in the band above the prompt, refreshed after every turn. All Your JetBrains IDEs (Google Android Studio included): the same lines above the AI chat's input (require official claude agent or your own ACP, does not work for Junie or Codex). One command to install the plugin to all Jetbrain IDEs on your machine. One config: it reads the same settings file your terminal uses, so there is nothing to set up twice.
